Top Dogs Leather Collars

We have a great selection of colours and choice of widths, along with collar fit measurements. Please see our “Measuring” page for a detailed guide on correctly sizing your collar.

Our collars are made from the best “bridle” leather which is supple, high-quality leather. Our collars are available in the same colours and quality to our leads so your dog will look very smart when sporting both collar and lead together! Your dog will be the envy of every other dog in the pack! The collars are soft yet strong, providing many years of wear and tear. They are stitched for reinforcement, we do not use rivets! Hand stitching and bevelling is a trademark of quality leatherware. We love it!

Our flat dog collars have brass fittings with a brass ring for attachment to the lead clip, are strength stitched and finished with edge colour and bevel.

Our padded dog collars have brass fittings and brass ring for lead attachment. The collar is stitched on both edges to hold the padding firmly in place and to provide the collar with that extra special finish.

Our leather has the same tanning process from hide to hide and does have natural imperfections and slight colour differences. This is not to be considered defective in any way as each piece of leather is unique to itself.

Please see our “Caring for your leather products” page for information on how to keep your collars and leads in tip-top condition!

Caring for your leather products

There is real importance in caring for your leather items so they maintain their strength, flexibility, and condition. I have personally owned two of these leads for over 12 years and they are still as good as the day I got them. It is so worth the little bit of effort required to have your dog’s leather products always looking and feeling well turned out!

Treat your leather products with leather care conditioners - they come in a cream base and a firmer wax-based product, like shoe polish. By feeding the leather this will help maintain suppleness and length of life. If water is involved, like beach swimming, etc. wipe over with a warm damp cloth, let it dry, and then treat it with your leather care product. Always let your leather dry out naturally, do not heat it to speed up the process.
